What is the Canadian Athletes Now Fund?

CAN Fund is a non-profit that raises direct funding for athletes across Canada. The Fund has raised over $14 million and is proud to have supported 80% of the athletes at the Games in Vancouver. CAN Fund has over 400 Alumni from coast to coast who proudly represented Canada at World Championship and Summer and Winter Games from Sydney to Vancouver. The majority of Canadian athletes rely on CAN Fund so they can afford what they need to compete. CAN Fund is the only organization in Canada that with each donation you find out the name of the athlete you have directly supported, and receive a tax receipt.

 

What exactly will my donation be used for?

Summer, Winter, Able-Bodied and Paralympic athletes apply to CAN Fund twice a year for direct financial support. The basic needs that athletes are relying on CAN Fund for are so they can afford better equipment, coaching costs, cover travel and training expenses, better nutrition and team fees.

A unique feature of CAN Fund is that we are the only non-profit organization in Canada that with each donation you find out the name of the athlete you have directly supported and receive a tax receipt.
