What types of gold & jewelry do you accept?
We accept solid or plated platinum, palladium, gold, silver and bronze in all forms. We also accept gemstones, watches, diamonds, and pearls. Depending upon the item donated, items may be processed by Imperial Smelting or sold at auction to maximize the donation generated for athletes.

Why do I have to use registered shipping?
Sprott’s insurance only covers items that are sent via trackable shipping methods and are signed for upon receipt, therefore Gold4Gold cannot be held responsible for packages sent without tracking or signature upon delivery.
What percentage of the value of metal donated is given as a tax receipt?
Each item will be appraised. A tax receipt will be given for the fair market value.
If your item is appraised at $500, a $500 tax receipt will be issued.
Please note:
- CAN Fund will issue a tax receipt to donors only for items donated that are valued at $25 or more

What if I am not satisfied with the value of the tax receipt I receive for my gold?
If the item(s) you donate is appraised below the value you indicate on your CAN Fund Donation Form, we will contact you to communicate the appraised value. At that point, you’ll be given a choice to approve the item for donation, or to request that it be returned to you.
